Frequently Asked Questions
What if I know something needs to change, but I don’t know what I want yet?
That’s okay. You don’t come to coaching because you already have clarity. Clarity is part of the work. We’ll look at what’s happening in your life, what you need, what matters to you, and what may be shaping your choices before deciding what comes next.
What if I’m considering several different options?
You don’t have to narrow them down before we begin. Part of our work may be understanding what each option offers, what it could cost, and how well it fits the life you’re trying to build. My role isn’t to make the choice for you. It’s to help you see more clearly what you’re choosing—and why.
What if my goal changes during the 90 days?
Then we pay attention to why it changed. Progress isn’t measured by how faithfully you stick to the goal you walked in with. Sometimes greater clarity confirms a goal. Sometimes it changes it. The goal is accuracy—not loyalty to an outdated plan.
Is this just career coaching?
No. A career decision may bring you through the door, but you don’t leave the rest of yourself outside it. We may explore work, relationships, health and well-being, finances and security, purpose, personal growth, rest, or other areas of life when they’re relevant to the choice in front of you.
How is this different from therapy?
Coaching is not therapy, and I don’t diagnose or treat mental-health conditions. But that doesn’t mean our work stays on the surface. We’re willing to get underneath the goal to understand the person trying to reach it. If something arises that would be better supported through therapy or another professional service, we’ll talk about that honestly.
Are you going to tell me what I should do?
No—but I’m also not going to simply sit back and repeat your thoughts to you. I’ll ask questions, offer observations, identify patterns, challenge assumptions when appropriate, and help you consider realistic options. You make the decisions. We do the thinking together.
What if I’ve already done assessments, coaching, or a lot of personal-development work?
Great. We don’t need to start over. We’ll use what you already know about yourself and focus on what that information means for the life and decisions in front of you now. Self-awareness is valuable, but knowing yourself and knowing what to do with what you know aren’t always the same thing.
How often will we meet?
There is no preset number of sessions. Your coaching is scheduled around your needs and progress throughout the 90 days. Most clients meet approximately weekly, but the experience is intentionally flexible rather than built around filling a predetermined number of appointments.
What happens between sessions?
You’ll have access to a private space for questions, insights, or challenges that come up between sessions. You may also receive personalized exercises, assessments, or resources based on what we’re working through. The point isn’t to keep you busy between sessions—it’s to support the work that’s actually relevant to you.
What if I’m interested but not sure this is the right fit?
That’s exactly what the complimentary M.A.G.I.C.™ Clarity Call is for. We’ll talk about what’s bringing you to coaching, what you’re hoping will change, and whether this experience makes sense for you. The call is a fit conversation, not a pressure conversation.
